On the 13th November, over 40 cadets and staff paraded through Newbury to pay their respects to the Fallen on Remembrance Sunday.

Each year, the closest Sunday to the 11th November is dedicated as Remembrance Sunday, where across the country people from all backgrounds join together in remembering those that have given their lives in defence of their country, and who have fought for freedom around the world.

Newbury squadron, as usual, sent one of the biggest contingents of the parade, numbering over 40 cadets and staff, and they joined together with the Royal British Legion, Royal Air Force Association, Royal Navy Association and other cadet and youth groups to parade through Newbury town centre.

After the march past and salute, the cadets formed up in the Market Place for the service, led by Rev. Kei Eynon, and the town saw record numbers of the public line the route.

After the service, the parade moved in to St Nicolas Church, and then some cadets went to the Royal British Legion's headquarters in Pelican Lane where they had a chance to chat to veterans and serving personnel from all services, before 42 Engineer Regiment served everyone lunch.

Flight Lieutenant Simon Cragg, Officer Commanding Newbury Squadron said "I'm immensely proud of all our cadets and staff for parading through Newbury today. They showed the town how good young people can be, they all had the highest standards of dress and deportment and it was great to hear so many nice comments from the public about how smart they all were".
